after Amber fort we headed for the hill-top fort of Nahargarh, tiger fort....
it's up up up on winding serpentine roads...bumpy and narrow...
like you don't want to meet a bus here...guess what happened ?
yes it took a while for us to get going and I think we did have as much as 1 cm between us and the bus....adventure or craziness ? your pick...
well well, get ready for a tour

an old baoli, stepwell...strange that they don't look after it since it's part of the fort....
mighty entrance...already at this point you begin to see all the hand painted decor
that you find throughout the fort...
see the doves sitting on the rope in a line ?
bats where hanging in clusters at some of the doors !
wonder why they come here where there's so many people ?
and yes we where warned that they can be dangerous...
hmm, don't want to get rabies from a Indian bat !
not cute at all..scary...and it was even after halloween..
what I like about this place are all the decorated rooms...
instead of wall paper they made hand painted walls and ceilings
so nicely done...
they are all differently decorated...
and all have smart solutions like built in shelves...

I so wish I could have put on some clothes from the time and then taken some nice pictures at this place...
both me and my friend really liked the old road .....
right outside the walls some food vendors put up their stalls...
and a bread lady sold big breads..
back in the car and now we headed for the victory fort...Jaigarh...

the fort was built by Jai Singh II in 1726 to protect the Amber Fort and its palace complex
so the fort was named after him...
the fort has a length of 3 km and a width of 1 km..
best thing with this fort was the great view of Amber Fort, Maota Lake and the city of Amber...
too bad it wasn't a clear day with really blue sky...
the fort is connected with Amber fort so you can actually walk down from up here...
the fort has the worlds biggest canon on wheels, the Jaivana...
but as you can guess it's not this one !
instead you get Mr G with a small one...
this fort was just a fort...not really worth a visit...
well, unless you're into canons..
the views from up here where really nice though
people live up here..inside the fort...
the contrasts are big ....really old with new antennas...
I did find a baoli also ( a step well ) but it was closed off and of course it hadn't been taken care off
too bad since the fort is a tourist attraction...
