On the way to Deeg Palace - the Water Palace

the last couple of days I've been on the road with my friend Kathy..
we decided to do a little different tour of the golden triangle
see some other things and really explore
and did we ever !
we started out by heading towards Agra but turned right somewhere along the road
and steered towards Deeg village in Rajasthan
but as always when we are out exploring
we saw things along the road that made us pull over...more than one time !
so  much fun

rural country in Rajasthan....

we met these happy ladies on their way out to get wood or to collect food for their animals...
they all had a "knife"...like a small scythe...

had to get a picture of their ornated tractor....

a little up a head we came to a stop because of the trains....
and this lovely lady walked by

with a friend,,,I guess...

I would never see this at home...people walking on the tracks...

then we entered a village and we saw a gath....an embankment with water..
and when there's water we usually find

women doing laundry and having a bath....

don't know what this guy was doing though...was he the look out or was he just having a peek ?

and when there's water it usually means the animals also have a place to drink and

have a swim ...

my friend Kathy overlooking the big embankment and she didn't go for a swim....

when back in the car we had this human "hanuman" walking by.....
well, it was tuesday which is the god Hanuman's day,
so he dressed up and walked around the village getting food and money...
we just thought he looked scary !
if you want to have a peek into Deeg Palace - the Water Palace,
be sure to check in on my next post
