Neemrana Palace

We just got back from a short but wonderful visit to Neemrana Fort-Palace...
it's a fort-palace converted and restored into a hotel
and what a place it is
oldest part is from the 15th century and the newest from the 21
we stayed in the only room from the 17th century...
Hara Mahal...Shivas room...
if you have a chance to visit and spend a night...do so
it's truly spectacular
I'll take you on a tour so you can get a feel of the place

it's built in and around the mountainside...so cool...

lot's of exercise walking up and down all over the fort...

see the little balcony to the left ? that was our room...

old water jars...decor ?

construction was going on at some places but I guess that's good since it's from the 14th century...
just look at the bamboo rack they're standing on...

see the jars...it's a roof..love it..

too bad we didn't get blue skies...we rarely do....

stepping out into the hanging garden...

wonderful...

love the way they have put the stone in...layers and with little concrete...

places all over where you can sit and read or have a drink or just do nothing...

I sure hope I'll come back to this place one day....
if you want to see some more pictures of and around the fort be sure to check in on my next post(s?)
hope your weekend has been as good as mine dear reader
