Picnic at a farm house

today we went on a picnic to a farm house on the outskirts of Gurgaon...it was all the staff at Kunskapsskolan who had a day together...food,games,music and just doing something nice together...
it was such a nice farm house...huge grounds and beautifully done...it was also an arboretum....countless number of different trees....

know the song ? .....and on his farm he had some geese........? fun fact...geese sound the same in India as in Skaune...

I have actually never seen turkeys up so close before....at first they where all blue doing their dance..

then they warmed up to us and turned red....look closely at those faces....

in the middle of their famous gobble gobble...

these guinea fowls where so beautiful...the feathers looked like they where hand painted...

there where so many trees....different species...fruit trees,herbal trees,holy trees...
this is a chinese mandarin tree...

I got to taste this and I ate the peel, sweet and tasted so good, but the fruit itself was really sour...

one of the ponds had these  gorgeous buddhas

papaya tree ....

with pretty small fruits still..

the fruit of a red vermillion tree....makes the red powder you put on the forehead...

the peach trees had just started to bloom....

as had the plum trees ....

I walked in an alley of plum trees...and then I walked right into a teak forest !..that was a first for me...so many different kind of teak trees....fact is that you are not allowed to cut down a tree anywhere not even on your own property...(you have to contact the authority)!

the "dish brush" flower

Kunskapsskolans staff had a blast....tons of food, games and lots of laughs....what a great afternoon!
