Independence day celebration at Kunskapsskolan

Since it was my first Independence day here in India I just had to go and see what was happening at Kunskapsskolan.
Most schools where closed today due to national holiday but Kunskapsskolan had a short little celebration with the kids in focus....they informed us about Independence day ,  sang and danced and they did it so good. It was a pleasure to see them perform. Staff and teachers had prepared with flowers and decorations ......today was a day of orange, white and green.....and lots of happy smiles

beautiful decor ....

Sunitha Nambiar, Project Director at Kunskapsskolan Eduventure

the flag ceremony...and singing the national anthem Jana Gana Mana

the tiranga....

grade 5 and 6 entertained us with dances

and grade 3 - 6 did the singing

he started his speech in swedish and everybody looked kind of confused...did he forget that he's in india?
he started off by reciting Per Albin Hansson in swedish ....

all the small kids listened and clapped and waved their flags....

happy faces

all the kids got a plant to bring home

It was so much fun to see the kids in "action"...they should all be proud of themselves today..it takes guts to go out on a stage and perform !
